Their support for their accounting partners is top notch, and the software is way less clunky. Those are the pain points your sales messaging should hone in on.Īs far as tools, QBO is the obvious one, but a better platform IMO is Xero. But it isn’t sexy and you have to learn how to sell it. I was able to quit my day job around 12 clients. We asked for good google reviews and referrals from our clients for good work on a regular basis - some thing most accounting firms don’t do (see a trend here?).Ĩ years later, we are at 40 recurring clients and shooting for a ridiculous goal of 500. We put effort into going to networking events and spent good money on a cohesive branding guide and killer website - something most small accounting firms and bookkeepers do not care about.
